Johnny and his managers joined an online meeting with NetDispatcher landscaping specialists and the same person he had talked to when signing up. From here on out, things started advancing quickly.
After the first meeting, his team gathered all materials and excels, and sent them to the implementation team for a review and importing to NetDispatcher. The next time they met, everything was ready for a conference room pilot. To Johnny’s surprise, everything was already in NetDispatcher and ready to go. The team had imported their information and built their process into NetDispatcher. Quickly things started making sense. His two dispatchers now had access to the system and started getting familiarized before the first training session. An online help with video tutorials and help documentation was very helpful.

The first training was for the office people. Although Johnny felt he is not the most fastest learner when it comes to IT and definitely not technologically talented, Johnny wanted to make sure he is involved in the trainings to make sure their process will not be lost in the transition. His office managers, the two dispatchers were the ones, that would manage everything and needed to learn NetDispatcher. But to his surprise, after trying some of the reporting and invoicing features, Johnny saw how easy it was to use. He loved the fact, that he could use it where ever he needed to access the information with his iPad.
After the very first hour of the first training, they were already creating new jobs and dispatching them to field crews. That’s how easy it was. The team had already built the recurring schedules and they were mainly practicing how to make changes and react to one-off items.
After few days, they started looking at the advanced features, like time cards, invoice processes to their accounting system and sales management. All the trainings were very hands on. When the team felt good on the progress Johnny’s team did, the field crews were to be trained next.
THE FIELD CREWS WERE NEXT
On the second week, Johnny’s team was ready to get their field crews on board. They agreed to run the process parallel to their existing paper process and slowly bring in more crews as they got the hang of it. NetDispatchers team did the first trainings and had a great set of training materials to be handed out just in case. First 3 crews started the next day.
